We know that we have a moral obligation as well as a legal one to ensure that our employees, our sub-contractors and anyone else who may be affected by our operations are not put at risk, and we take this duty very seriously. To demonstrate this commitment we have as a company worked to achieve accreditation with both the Contractors Health and Safety Scheme (CHAS) and the Gold Standard Constructionline. Both schemes require rigourous audits on an annual basis to ensure that we are achieving and maintaining the highest of standards.
All of our site management staff complete the CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme and the First Aid at Work qualification as a basic requirement. In addition we maintain an ongoing cycle of training for all staff to ensure that they have up-to-date training for all plant, equipment and specialist operations with which they will be involved as part of their role. All of our construction sites receive a monthly visit and audit from an independent safety advisor to ensure that standards are being maintained, and to provide support and advice to our site teams to help them with the continual improvement we strive for.
